Googlewave is dead already!
Almost after a year of general public release, Google announced that it is stopping all development on Googlewave Announcement on 4th August
To tell you the truth this technology was good but I think was released too early, for sure some create use will be found later but for a regular non-corporate user collaboration is not important. The closest a non-corporate user get to real-time collobaration is when IM'ing or using social media like, Facebook, Myspace, Orkut(another almost dead google product), twitter.
Even in the corporate world real-time colloboration is still in its infancy.
